Smishing Alert.
Scam Alert!
Recently
several members have been the target of a “smishing” scam whereby they
are sent text messages allegedly originating from Andrews Federal
Credit Union via their cell phone or other wireless device. These
fraudulent messages instruct the member to call a number provided in
text message. Once the member calls the number, personal information is
requested.
Please do not respond to these messages should you
receive them. These messages have not been authorized by Andrews
Federal Credit Union and are an attempt identity thieves use to gain
your personal information. Andrews Federal Credit Union does not
solicit personal information via email or text message.
If you suspect you have been a victim of this scam, please contact Andrews Federal Credit Union immediately. |
